About Gold Coast Aesthetic Medicine

Dr Martin Chase

Dr Chase is an Australian-trained medical doctor with over three decades of clinical experience and multiple postgraduate qualifications. This has given him deep medical knowledge, a wealth of clinical experience, and refined communication skills. He places great importance on gaining a full medical understanding and formal recognition of competency in an area of medicine before practicing in that field.

In recognition of his substantial knowledge of cosmetic medicine and a high standard of procedural skills in the field, he has been admitted to Full Membership of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (CPCA). In his aesthetic medicine practice, he values the process of finding the right balance for each patient between the pursuit of aesthetic intervention and the wisdom of thoughtful restraint.

Dr Chase gained Fellowship status of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) in 2001, and he continues to work as a consultant medical specialist in the emergency department.

Clinic philosophy

Established by Dr Chase in 2021, Gold Coast Aesthetic Medicine provides non-surgical cosmetic medicine consultations and treatments.

The clinic's philosopy is based the following five priorities:

MEDICAL DEPTH

Based on sound understanding of anatomy and physiology

EVIDENCE-BASED

Only treatments backed by sound research are offered

NATURAL RESULTS

Priority for subtle, natural results, consistent with the person

IN-PERSON CONSULTS

The only way to properly perform a physical examination

TIME & CLARITY

To understand your goals, all treatment options & possible future directions

The clinic's primary focus is aesthetic medicine, however Dr Chase can provide broader medical services when appropriate. This may include advice on skin conditions, weight management, specialist referral and selected non-cosmetic medical concerns that arise. Questions and requests for information are welcomed - please send Dr Chase an email via the "Ask a question" link above.

The consultation process

Appointments always begin with a personal consultation, which provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns, understand your anatomy, and together make a plan with you that takes into account your budget.

If treatment is recommended, there is no obligation to proceed on the day. Some patients prefer to defer decisions, and take time to consider.

Priority is placed on the patient understanding things fully. You may find some of your questions answered in the "Learning Centre" - a resource for patients in which Dr Chase explains some of the commonest questions in this field. For any further questions, he welcomes your enquiries - please send an email for a personal response to your query (click the "Ask a question" button, above).

A consultation fee apples. This may be credited toward future treatment undertaken at the clinic within a specified period following consultation.
